How to clean your gun in Red Dead Redemption 2
So a lot of y’all ask how do I clean my gun in Red Dead Redemption 2? I can tell you, easily. Gun oil. Well with the gun oil you’re going to have to buy it somewhere once you’re ready to clean your gun. At first you would think the gun store but the actual answer could simply be your catalog. Hold left on the d-pad to open up your catalog and go to hunting and fishing and buy gun oil there. You have to turn a couple pages to the right by pressing R1 once you go to hunting and fishing it’s about 3 pages to the right. Once you order the gun oil you can pick it up at the post office or the lock box at your camp.
How to clean my gun once I have the gun oil
There’s two things to do here, to clean your gun with gun oil all you simply need to do is open your gun Wheel by holding L1 and then going to the gun with R3 or right joystick to the gun you want to select then press the R3 button which is also known as the right joystick which would be to maintain the weapon. Then you press square to clean the weapon and you could click Square a bunch of times or hold it to speed up the process. One thing I have to say though, you can’t do it at Camp I’m pretty sure for some reason. You have to clean your gun outside of camp, I don’t know why that is I guess it’s a glitch but yes you have to clean your gun outside of camp with the gun oil otherwise it probably won’t work while you’re in Camp.

To clean your gun with gun oil obviously you order it on catalog which is the simplest way then pick it up from the post office or simply your camp and you have to be outside of Camp to clean the weapon.
